Hello Lima, Here is a note regarding the potential water district from the LCWSA:

 

Community Members,

 

As you may be aware, in March the Town of Lima Town Board requested that the Livingston County Water and Sewer Authority (Authority) assist in conducting a public engagement process to receive public comment and further evaluate the community interest for an additional water district.  This was requested as part of an effort to evaluate the viability of a smaller, more focused, water district to serve residents that have expressed interest and/or need in receiving public water, as opposed to the Town wide water district proposed in 2023.  In addition, the Town Board wanted to evaluate the possibility of utilizing, at least in part, existing grant funds the Town has received from the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) by a grant awarded in September 2023.

 

An Executive Summary of the results from the public engagement process is now posted on the project website at Summary of Survey Results | Livingston County Sewer & Water Authority (LCWSA).  This information will be discussed in further detail with the Town Board at the next Town Board meeting on Tuesday September 3, 2024 at 6:30pm at the Town Hall, 7329 East Main Street, Lima, NY 14485.  The meeting will be open to the public.

 

Your feedback through the webpages, surveys, emails, phone calls and the public workshops has provided great information regarding public water interests in the community.  Thank you in your participation and engagement with this process.

NOTICE OF CHANGE TO MEETING TIME OF REGULAR MEETINGS

OF THE TOWN BOARD OF THE TOWN OF LIMA

 

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN, that all regular meetings of the Town Board of the Town of Lima previously noticed and scheduled for 2024, shall be changed so that they commence at 6:30 p.m. and not 6:00 p.m. as previously set and noticed.  Commencing Tuesday, March 5, 2024, all regular Town Board Meetings shall convene on the first Tuesday of each month at 6:30 p.m. and will be held at the Town of Lima Town Hall, located at 7329 East Main Street, Lima, New York.

 

This Notice is given pursuant to the Town Law of the State of New York.

The Town of Lima is seeking nominations for the various volunteer boards which help to manage the Town:  Planning Board, Zoning Board of Appeals, Assessment Board of Review, Agricultural Advisory Committee, Historic Preservation Commission, Board of Ethics and Library Board.  Interested parties should go to https://www.lima-ny.org/volunteer-opportunities , fill out both the Volunteer resume and the Board Volunteer forms and turn them into the Town Clerk.  If it is after hours, the drop box on the west side of the Town Hall can be used.  If you do not have access to the internet, you can pick up the forms at the Town Hall or the Library.  Thank you for considering.  MJF
